Tonight was a sad night , Thor passed away. Thor could best be described as Love. He loved everyone in the family with everything he had , and our family loved him very much. To us he was our kid , and to our son's a brother. No matter if he had a bad day or you were grumpy , he was extremely happy to see you. Even in his last moments he would wag his tail when you walked into the room. I can't say enough good things about him. There has been many a tear shed today for a fallen family member. He will be missed greatly. He was loved very much , by my family and by me.

Oh Carl, I'm so sorry. How/why? Was he ill? Was he in an accident?

My condolences to you and your whole family.

We're not sure what it was ? He all the sudden got sick that night we brought him in and early the next day he died. On the day he got sick he was his regular self, wide open. We didn't see it coming. It happened so fast. He got very lethargic and thirsty , but wouldn't eat. He used the bathroom regular. He wanted someone to be with him , so Gina, Zack, and I took turns setting with him. Then again he always wanted someone around.

We had a run in with Odin a couple months ago. He had developed a urinary infection and couldn't use the bathroom. The vet gave him some meds and he's in good health again.

Sounds like it might have been poison...could he have gotten into some anti-freeze? I'm so sorry. I hope you can sleuth out some details so that you can protect the rest of your pack. None of us live forever, but, dang...
I hope you remember and appreciate each and every day with him.

We had wondered about poison also. He lived in the back yard the nearest car was probably 50 or 60 yards away. We figured the only 2 ways for him to get poisoned was for someone to it on purpose or to get hold of a rodent that was poisoned. I think the latter of the is the more probable. No one could have got close enough to him to give him anti-freeze , unless they were someone he seen everyday. Outside of our family no one did.
