I never thought I would write a story on the puppy forum again soon... The last time it was about Ice over 3 years ago.

We got a puppy from a shelter that we named Kinley after Kirsten Suggested calling him Lucky I found out that Mount McKinley has another name by the Natives named Lucky/fortunate. Little Kinley is 5 weeks old and was fed cows milk after his mother died after the first week and left in a cupboard.

Anyhow, he is currently being fostered here and has made such good progress from being by deaths door and now only after 3 days giving a few steps :D Amazing how a young body heals itself.

This puppy has suffered but only to tell his story to someone else. He will enrich a life/s whom ever adopts him.
It's exciting to see how good he is doing every day and how his rickets get better every couple of hours. I have not cared for many puppies know theory stuff, but this is just such a miracle to witness. Even though I felt so sad for him I don't so much any more...he is here for a reason and I am sure he is going to leave such an impression. I think positive energy is much more important then feeling sorry for to long.
Thought to share some of his journey on the forum.

My dogs are very interested in the young one especially Decota-always investigating. Logan (4 month baby) laughs at him

Ice

Oh! What a blessing...you have been chosen to help this guy learn and teach. There are so many wonderful (and maybe sad or painful) lessons ahead.

Abner was one of those lesson dogs for me. James has given the dog to Miriam Taylor-Cooper and now she is blessed with learning from him. (Seems he gave her a black eye last week!)

My love and puppy snuggles to Kinley...and Logan and the rest of the pack too!
